Clean Up And Reduce Facecount Of 3 3d Objects (some .stl Some .obj)

Hello,

I have three 3d objects.
One .stl and two .obj.
They are 3d scans of stones.

I want to load them into a three.js project.
To do this I need to reduce the objects vertices and add a texture.

Please compare the image attached.
This is one object, the others are similar.

I need the following:

- delete faces, which do not belong to the object (clean up 3d scan)
- reduce faces of the object to around 10k (will this be possible or will it reduce the object to nothing?)
-> I am ok with the object getting hohles in the surface, so maybe faces can just be deleted.
- create a black / dark grey reflective texture for each object (each object a bit different hue)
- export object + texture, so it can be loaded into three.js
