Mandarin-English Live Meeting Interpreter
Budget: $100 – $125 USD
I need an experienced real-time interpreter to bridge Chinese Mandarin and English during a 60-minute Zoom video call on 7 Feb at 20:00 Beijing time (please confirm the slot is workable for you).
The session is a business-style interview focused on Haj and Umrah pilgrimage travel to Saudi Arabia. Most of the discussion will revolve around travel-logistics vocabulary—visas, flight schedules, group coordination, accommodation standards—so confidence with that terminology is essential. Religious phrases may surface, but the core content is operational planning rather than theology.
Scope of work
• Join the call 10 minutes early for an audio check.
• Provide smooth, professional consecutive or whisper simultaneous interpreting from Mandarin to English (and back when questions arise).
• Keep translations precise, neutral in tone and culturally sensitive.
• Maintain confidentiality of everything discussed.
Acceptance criteria
– Audio remains clear and latency kept to a minimum throughout the hour.
– Key logistical details (dates, numbers, requirements) are rendered accurately with no omissions.
– The English-speaking participants leave the meeting fully understanding next-step actions.
We will host the meeting on Zoom; no special equipment needed beyond a stable connection, a quality microphone/headset and a quiet environment. If you meet these points and can commit to the exact time, please let me know your experience with live business interpreting and any similar travel-sector assignments you have handled.
