Chinese Multimedia Localization Expert Needed
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a slate of marketing and training videos, web-based interactive modules, and assorted digital media that must resonate just as strongly with audiences in Mainland China and Hong Kong as they do in their original form. I’m looking for a seasoned Chinese multimedia localization specialist who can take each asset end-to-end—translating the language, adapting cultural references, and re-designing on-screen graphics or UI elements so every piece feels native to its viewers while staying true to our brand voice.
You’ll be working with:
• Videos (promo spots, explainers, product demos)
• Interactive content (courseware, HTML5/Unity modules, quizzes)
• Digital media (web banners, social snippets, in-app elements)
The job calls for someone comfortable jumping between subtitle workflows, voice-over sessions, and After Effects or Premiere timelines, then fine-tuning colors, fonts, and iconography to align with Mainland and Hong Kong tastes. A strong grasp of simplified and traditional Chinese usage, regional idioms, and current pop-cultural cues is essential.
For each asset I’ll need:
1. A polished Chinese script (simplified and/or traditional as needed)
2. Fully rendered media with localized graphics and audio baked in
3. Source project files reflecting the final Chinese version
4. A light QA checklist confirming linguistic accuracy, timing, and functional integrity
Fluency in industry-standard tools—Adobe Creative Cloud, subtitling software (eg. EZTitles, Subtitle Edit), and e-learning authoring suites—will help you hit the ground running. If you have case studies or sample links that show previous work for Chinese audiences, please include them so I can gauge fit quickly.
Turnaround is flexible but I’d like to begin with one short video as a pilot within the next two weeks, then roll out the remainder in planned batches. Let me know your availability, typical workflow, and any questions you have about the master files, and we’ll get started.
