Multilingual Novel Translation Project
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I am preparing the first 14,000-word section of my novel for release in multiple Indian and South-Asian languages and need experienced literary translators for the following pairs:
• English → Hindi
• English → Urdu
• English → Bengali
• English → Marathi
• English → Nepali
• English → Punjabi
• English → Tamil
• English → Telugu

What I need from you
— Your best USD per-word rate for this kind of work
— The number of calendar days you will need to complete 14,000 words
— A short note on your literary translation experience (novels, short stories, etc.)
Deliverables
1. A polished, publication-ready translation of the full 14,000-word mini-book in the target language, delivered as an editable Word document.
2. All original formatting preserved: chapter titles, dialogue punctuation, paragraph breaks and any embedded quotations.
Acceptance criteria
• Human translation only, with a natural literary tone that matches the voice of the source text.
• Consistency in names, places and key terms across the manuscript.
• Final file passes a light post-edit review and our internal proofreading check.
If the collaboration goes smoothly, you will be first in line when the remaining chapters (approx. 70,000 additional words) are ready. I look forward to reading your proposal and timeline!
