I'm looking for a native English speaker translator to help me translate subtitles for my YouTube channel from Portuguese into American English on a weekly basis.
I teach Brazilian Portuguese as a second language on my YouTube channel, and to help my students, my videos have two subtitles (Portuguese and English).
The size of my videos varies from 8-15 minutes, usually 1,000 to 2,000 words.
The language is usually simple and colloquial. Sometimes, I use basic grammar terminology.
Since I place both subtitles on the screen at the same time, I'd like the translation in English to match the text in Portuguese as much as possible. That means using cognates and similar structures whenever possible as long as it is correct and sound natural in English.
