Need English-Bengali Translators for a large volume project
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
We require Bengali translators for a high volume project consisting millions of words.
The taget language is Bangladeshi Bangla. Although Bangladeshi translators are prefered, but Indian Translators can also apply.
We are looking for freelancers who can understand technical content and can translate into common conversational language. Please follow the given instructions and send us your Bengali sample.
The price stated here is placeholder amount. Actual payment will be done according to the volume of work completed by individual asignees.
1. Use straight forward translations.
2. English words lacking suitable Bengali alternatives can be transliterated
a. e.g. adjust, performance, release etc can be written as অ্যাডজাস্ট, পারফর্মেন্স, রিলিজ.
Complicated or esoteric terms like সমন্বয়করণ, সম্পাদন etc should be avoided.
4. Device names and process names should be transliterated. e.g.
Main Steam System should be মেইন স্টিম সিস্টেম not প্রধান বাষ্প সিস্টেম, not even প্রধান স্টিম সিস্টেম
Control Valve as কন্ট্রোল ভালভ, not as নিয়ন্ত্রণ ভালভ
5. Device names are usually written in sentence case (first letter of each word is capital) e.g.
-Main Steam flows into HP section of HIP Turbine through four (4) Main Stop Valves and Control Valves.
-Further, Electromatic Relief Valve (ERV) is provided at Boiler Superheater Outlet of 10% capacity
These words should be straightaway transliterated (word should be same as English but script should be Bengali)
6. The tone of language should be conversational with a mix of Bengali and English words. Dictionary terms and uncommon words should be avoided.
7. Please do not rely on Google Translate to find complicated, rarely used and stylish Bengali words to translate common English words. e.g.
Discharge should be ডিসচার্জ and not স্রাব, Disconnected can be written as ডিসকানেক্টেড and not সংযোগ-ছিন্ন
In short, if a Bengali word forces you to stop and think, then don't use that word.
