Math translation - English to Italian
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

With our mobile app, users can solve math problems instantly using their phone camera to get detailed step-by-step instructions to help maximize learning.
To support even more content in different languages, we are looking for math teachers, math graduates, or math enthusiasts, to translate our mathematical content from English to Italian. We are looking for people who understand the math-solving process and are familiar with math terminology and content studied from the lowest grades all the way to college.
In this project, you would be translating a part of our plus content, which will be an addition to the content already available in Italian. In the attached files you can find the example of two different types of content (more about that later), and the interface of our system that you would be using for translating. Besides translating, we are expecting feedback about anything not applicable or explained differently in Italian.
We are looking for two translators, which would be translating two types of additional content:
1. "WHYS" - The project includes translating around 640 "Whys" with a total of 60 500 words (the exact number will be determined when the project starts). This would be separated into 7 milestones over 7 weeks. That means, each week, you would be translating around 100 Whys with approximately 9500 words. The payment is calculated based on the number of words in English (0.1$ per word). The translation process would start around the 18th of May.
2. "HINTS" - The project includes translating around 490 "Hints" with a total of 21 000 words (the exact number will be determined when the project starts). This would be separated into 3 milestones over 3 weeks. That means, each week, you would be translating around 200 Hints with approximately 8400 words. The payment is calculated based on the number of words in English (0.1$ per word). The translation process would start around the 18th of May.
Requirements:
- You are familiar with a math content studied from lower grades all the way to college
- Italian is your native language
- additional plus is if you are a math teacher, if you are a math graduate and/or if you have experience in math tutoring
At the end of the project, if both parties are satisfied, there is an opportunity to continue our collaboration.
