FAQs
Do students clean their own room? All students are adults and responsible to clean their own room and do their own laundry. On the first day the student should be shown where to find cleaning utensils, how to do laundry etc.
What do I need to provide? Basic provisions like bed sheets, pillows and a bathroom towel should be provided. Toiletries students will bring themselves.
Do I need to supervise students? No, all students are adults and responsible for their own lives. Students need to follow house rules regarding dinner times, washing up etc. like all other household members.
How long will they stay? Students can come for different lengths from a few months to a full year.
Can I restrict student profiles? In general, there are no restrictions with regard to the student’s profiles. All students we place in homestay families we know, are vetted and safe. However, if a homestay family feels only comfortable with for example female students, then we can arrange accordingly.
When to start? We continuously have students arriving in Tokyo. After starting to work together you could have the first student staying with you next week, in several months or only next year. This is up to you and your schedule. We plan long term, but also have short term requests. Get in touch now and let us know when you might be available.
How many hours will it last for 1 class? Depends, can be from 2 hours to 4 hours, teachers will be informed in advance.
