Improve Chinese Translation: Test Prep App
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I am seeking a meticulous translator with expertise in Simplified Chinese and a strong proficiency in English to conduct a thorough review of the existing Chinese translations in our intermediate level test preparation app, which focuses primarily on math and English subjects. This project is critical for ensuring our app's content is accurate, culturally appropriate, and engaging for our users who are preparing for academic assessments in these subjects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct a detailed review of all existing Chinese translations within the app.
- Make corrections to ensure accuracy, relevance, and comprehension for an intermediate audience.
- Offer suggestions to improve cultural appropriateness and engagement of the translation where needed.
**Ideal Skills and Experience:**
- Native-level proficiency in Chinese.
- Strong command of English, especially in academic contexts.
- Previous experience in translation projects, preferably in the education or tech sectors.
- Familiarity with educational content, especially math and English for test preparation.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines.
I am looking for someone who is passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment and has the skills to enhance the quality of our app through superior translation work.
Currently I can provide only an Android version for testing, iOS is still under development.
To be clear, app is fully translated to Chinese, but as I'm about to take my app to China, I need to ensure all texts are suitable for the given educational context.
I have to be honest, I appreciate everyone's time, but cannot pay much for this job, so the price estimation should be very affordable. In the end, all the texts are already translated, I just need them to be reviewed while using the app to ensure they fit the context.
To give you more information, the app doesn't have more than 15~18 different screens and it's very straightfoward to use.
I could send you the full set of already translated texts, if that helps.
Maybe the texts are already fine, because they were translated by Chinese people, but this will be up to you to check and decide.
I'll be listening for proposals along the next couple of days and then I'll decide.
Native Chinese people only.
Thanks.
