Esports Event Interpreters Needed in New Orleans
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I am seeking experienced simultaneous interpreters for an upcoming esports event in New Orleans. The event will take place from April 30 to May 4, and I need one Russian, one Thai, and one Chinese interpreter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide simultaneous interpreting services primarily translating from English to Russian, Thai, and Chinese for the duration of the event.
- Support gamers during the event and possibly broadcast interviews
- Assist with communication between English-speaking participants and non-English speakers.
Requirements:
- Must be based in the USA.
- Prior experience with simultaneous interpreting is preferred.
- Familiarity and comfort with esports terminology is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Logistics:
- Travel to New Orleans on April 29, departing on May 5.
- All flights, hotel accommodations, and meals will be provided.
- Compensation is $400 per day, with an additional $50 meal allowance on travel days, totaling $2100.
Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in English and your respective native language (Russian, Thai, or Chinese).
- Excellent listening and speaking skills.
- Ability to interpret content in real-time.
