Chinese Medical Factory Interpreter
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I will be travelling to several medical-device factories in China and need a fluent Mandarin-English interpreter by my side throughout the visits. The core of the assignment is live, on-the-spot verbal translation so that both I and the plant staff can communicate clearly during guided tours of the production lines.
You will walk the floor with me, interpret questions and answers in real time, and help convey any cultural nuances that might arise. No document work is involved—this is strictly face-to-face interpreting inside the facilities.
Because we will be moving through clean-room areas, familiarity with basic medical-manufacturing terminology and safety protocols is important. If you have previous experience interpreting for ISO-13485 or GMP environments, please mention it.
Deliverables
• Accurate, real-time Mandarin↔English interpretation during each factory tour
• Clarification of terminology specific to medical devices when needed
• A brief verbal recap of key points at the end of each visit
The schedule is still flexible, but the visits will run over two consecutive weekdays within the next 8-12 weeks, roughly eight hours per day. Travel to the sites (all within the same city) and lunch will be covered.
