I'm seeking a skilled Chinese translator located in Azerbaijan (Baku) for COP29. Your role will involve interpreting English discussions into Chinese and providing project overviews during business meetings.
- Translation: You will be tasked with consecutive translation during the meeting. This requires you to listen to the English speaking participants and relay their messages in Chinese at appropriate intervals.
- Interpretation: You will need to interpret discussions and provide project overviews during meetings.
- Communication: Clear and concise communication is key. You need to ensure that all Chinese participants understand the discussions and that their contributions are effectively communicated to the English speaking participants.
Ideal Candidates:
- Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong verbal skills in both languages.
- Based in or around Baku, Azerbaijan.
- Previous experience as a translator in business meetings, particularly at large international conferences like COP29.
- Able to present complex project overviews in a clear and understandable manner.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
