Polish Historic Text Transcriptions

Job ID: 40042298

Budget: $10 – $30 AUD

I have a collection of older English-language materials that jump between handwritten notes and type- or mimeograph-style pages. A first rough pass exists, but it is patchy and inconsistent. Your task is to create a clean, reader-friendly transcription for each document, keeping only a basic hierarchy of headings so the content is easy to navigate—no fancy layout or exact page replication is needed.

You’ll receive high-resolution scans in their original order. For each file, please:

• Carefully decipher every line, especially where the handwriting merges with typed inserts.
• Keep original section or chapter titles as H1/H2 style headings so the logical flow remains clear.
• Flag any illegible words in brackets for later review rather than guessing.

Deliver the finished text in either Word or Google Docs, one file per source document, with the same naming convention I provide. Accuracy and consistency matter more than speed, but I’d still like steady progress updates so we can clarify tricky passages early rather than at the end.

If you have a keen eye for historical scripts and solid command of English spelling and punctuation, this should be a straightforward, satisfying project. I’m ready to start as soon as you can.
