Part 1: Proposal
Length: 1 page (approx 325 words) in double-spaced Times New Roman 12-pt font

Write a proposal for your research paper, using the sample proposals in the course manual as rough guides for structure and style. Be sure to include the following elements:
-two-part title
-context
-topic
-specific forecasting
-thesis (your overall argument – as complex as possible)

Part 2: Summaries
Length: 1 page for each summary

Summarize the arguments of three of your main sources (articles or book chapters), including quotations. These articles or chapters must be peer reviewed/scholarly sources (unless you have checked with me and been given permission to use long-form journalism by a well-established author), and they must be of significant length (approximately 10-20 pages or longer).


NOTE: pay attention throughout, as you would in an essay, to writing style (e.g. sentence structures and correct methods of citation and integration) as well as content
