Jamnagar Chinese-Hindi Onsite Interpreter
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need real-time Chinese ⇄ Hindi support for an installation project taking place in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The work is fully onsite alongside a Chinese installation engineer and a small local team (no more than five people present at any time).
The assignment calls for simultaneous interpreting: you will listen to the engineer’s Mandarin instructions and relay them instantly in clear, technical Hindi, and vice-versa whenever the local team has questions. Typical exchanges will involve equipment positioning, safety steps, calibration checks and ad-hoc troubleshooting, so the pace is fast and accuracy is non-negotiable.
Schedule & location
• Location: industrial site on the outskirts of Jamnagar (exact address provided on award).
• Tentative dates: five consecutive working days, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. with standard breaks; flexibility for minor overtime is appreciated.
Deliverables
• Continuous simultaneous interpretation throughout each workday.
• Brief end-of-day recap in either Hindi or English summarising key technical points and pending issues (bullet or voice note is fine).
Acceptance criteria
• Communication flows smoothly without noticeable delays.
• Technical terminology is conveyed precisely; any term you are unsure of is clarified on the spot.
• Both engineer and local crew confirm comprehension after critical instructions.
Essential profile
You are fluent in Mandarin and native-level in Hindi, comfortable with industrial / mechanical vocabulary, and physically able to stand and move around the shop floor all day. If you have your own lightweight headset or portable transmitter, let me know—otherwise, we can arrange basic gear on site.
