I have several texts that need to move seamlessly from English into natural, contemporary Swahili. The material varies—some days it may be a short marketing blurb, other days a technical brief or even an informal email—so you’ll need to feel comfortable switching tone and register without losing accuracy.
Because the end-use also shifts between business, educational and personal contexts, I’m counting on you to judge when literal precision is essential and when culturally-attuned phrasing works better. From time to time specialised terminology pops up; it could be medical, legal or highly technical. When that happens, I’ll expect you to research or draw on prior expertise so the Swahili reads as confidently authoritative as the source.
Deliverables
• A clean, fully proofread Swahili version of each file returned in the same format I provide (Word, Excel, PDF, or plain text).
• Consistent terminology throughout, with any unavoidable ambiguities flagged for my review.
