We are seeking a Shipment Consolidation Specialist to help facilitate the import of goods from various companies in China into Montreal, Canada. The primary objective of this role is to consolidate multiple shipments into one, optimizing logistics and reducing shipping costs.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with suppliers in China to schedule and consolidate shipments.
Ensure all necessary documentation and compliance requirements are met for international shipping.
Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics partners to arrange efficient transportation.
Monitor shipment progress and address any issues or delays that may arise.
Work closely with the purchasing team to streamline procurement processes and maximize cost savings.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments and logistics activities.
Stay updated with international trade regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Requirements:

Proven experience in international shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
Familiarity with import/export procedures and regulations, particularly between China and Canada.
Strong communication and negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for tracking shipments and managing logistics operations.
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving logistics challenges.
A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
