I have a batch of text-based documents that first need to be keyed in accurately and then rendered into both German and Italian. The source material is all plain text; no spreadsheets or database tables are involved. Once the content is entered, I would like clean, idiomatic translations that read as if they were originally written in each target language rather than literal, word-for-word copies.
A solid grasp of German and Italian grammar, nuance, and tone is essential. If you normally work in Word, Google Docs, or a CAT tool such as Trados or MemoQ, feel free to let me know—whatever helps you deliver a polished final file in each language is fine by me.
Final hand-over: one source document in its corrected, fully typed form, plus two separate files containing the German and Italian versions. Accuracy in the typing phase and fluency in the translation phase will be the key measures of success.
