Proofreading (and some editing) of a children's book
Budget: £90 – £100 GBP
We are a small UK publisher looking to work with a talented editor / proofreader.
One of our new authors needs their first children's book read through with particular focus on the rule around commas / full stops being placed immediately before dialogue tags. The book contains around 47,000 words / 21 chapters. The budget is a modest one, but more work would follow, and a long-term working relationship hopefully established once the right editor / proofreader is matched to the author's work.
The paperback version of the book is due for a print run around early October 2021.
Samples of work / portfolio from interested freelancers would be most welcome.
