Book proofreading and editing
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
Proofreading and editing required (English syntax and sentence construction optimization) for a popular/technical book on audio and hi-fi systems.
320 pages (A4 size), approx. 168,000 words
The writing style is simple, for general audience, not many formulas.
Since an old software program has been used for writing, illustration drawing and typesetting, a pdf file will be supplied, so the proofreader/editor will need Adobe Acrobat to edit the file (text only), illustrations don't need editing.
It would help if the proofreader/editor has some knowledge of music, electronics, audio and hi-fi (high fidelity) or audiophile systems and some basic understanding of technical terms.
Must be a native English speaker!
