Short Lecture Audio Transcription Project
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a batch of recorded lectures, each running under half an hour, that I need converted into clean, well-formatted text. The audio is clear, spoken by a single presenter, and supplied in standard MP3 files. I’ll provide a shared folder with the files as soon as we start.
Here’s what I need from you:
• An accurate, line-by-line transcription of every word the lecturer says, lightly edited for false starts and filler words so the final document reads smoothly.
• Speaker tags only when someone else briefly asks a question.
• A simple time-stamp every five minutes (00:05:00, 00:10:00, etc.) so I can match sections to the audio quickly.
• Delivery in either Microsoft Word or Google Docs, using a consistent header that includes the lecture title and date.
I have about a dozen lectures queued up right now, with the possibility of more each month if everything runs smoothly. Turnaround on each file should be within 48 hours of receipt.
If you’re comfortable with lecture-style material and have a solid command of punctuation, I’d love to hear how soon you could tackle the first file.
