Dissertation Proofreading & Formatting Polish
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My dissertation is written, the arguments are solid, and the submission deadline is close. What I need now is a sharp-eyed editor to run a final pass that focuses strictly on two things: impeccable grammar and punctuation, and flawless formatting and structure. The document is already in American English, and I want to keep that usage consistent throughout.
Expect to deal with comma splices, verb-tense slips, and any lingering typos, but also with page numbering, heading hierarchy, table-of-contents alignment, figure and table captions, reference list spacing, and overall layout so the file meets university guidelines without a hitch. Content edits and conceptual rewrites are not required; this is a presentation-level polish.
I work in Microsoft Word and will need:
• a version with Track Changes showing every correction
• a clean, submission-ready file
A concise style sheet noting any recurring decisions (e.g., serial comma, em-dash spacing) will be the icing on the cake. If you have recent experience bringing graduate theses across the finish line, especially under tight timelines, let’s talk—my goal is a document the review committee can read without stumbling once.
