Quran Teaching for Non-Arabic Speakers

I run an online programme for learners whose first language is not Arabic and I want to enrich it with live Qur’an classes that build spoken fluency. The main objective is to help each student pronounce the verses correctly, understand their meanings, and then use the same Qur’anic vocabulary in everyday conversation. Reading, writing, and detailed grammar can come later; right now the spotlight is on speaking.

Every week I’ll share a short selection of verses that the class is memorising. Your role is to turn those ayāt into engaging, conversation-based lessons: modelling proper tajweed, highlighting key words, then guiding students through dialogues and sentence-building exercises that reuse those words naturally. English will be the bridge language, so clear bilingual explanations are important.

Please work through Zoom or any similar platform where you can annotate text, share audio, and upload quick reference sheets. Native-like Qur’anic pronunciation, patience with beginners, and creativity in teaching methods are all crucial.

Deliverables
• Two 60-minute lesson plans per week centred on the assigned verses and their vocabulary.
• Studio-quality audio of each verse at slow and normal speeds for practice.
• Short homework tasks that recycle the new words orally.
• Post-class notes summarising pronunciation points, tajweed feedback, and vocabulary mastery.

The engagement is complete when the students can recite the passages accurately and use at least 80 % of the target words in simple Arabic conversation. If you already teach Qur’an to non-Arabic speakers, feel free to mention it and include a brief recitation sample so I can hear your style.
