Translate English Novel to Indonesian
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have the rights to an English-language novel and plan to release an Indonesian edition to help supplement my family’s income. The story is written in contemporary, conversational prose and is aimed at teen readers—roughly the same age group as I am—so the Indonesian version has to read naturally, flow smoothly, and keep every bit of humor, tension, and emotion found in the original pages.
What I need you to do
I’ll supply the full manuscript in Word format. Your task is to produce a clean, publication-ready Bahasa Indonesia translation, preserving tone, voice, and character personalities without sounding literal or machine-generated. Light localization for culture-specific references is welcome as long as the author’s intent remains intact.
Deliverables
• Complete Indonesian translation in .docx (mirroring the source layout, chapter breaks, and paragraphing)
• A short translator’s note outlining any adapted cultural references or wordplay
• One revision round after my read-through to correct errors or clarify wording
Acceptance Criteria
• Accurate meaning retention with fluent, idiomatic Indonesian
• Consistent terminology, names, and style throughout the manuscript
• No untranslated fragments or obvious machine-translation artifacts
If you have experience translating fiction—especially YA or contemporary novels—please let me see a brief sample of your work (about 1–2 pages is enough). I’m eager to get started and will respond quickly to questions or sample requests so we can agree on timeline and milestones right away.
