Hindi Biography Literal English Translation
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I have a Hindi-language biography of a JAIN SADHU that I want rendered into clear, accurate English without embellishment or paraphrasing. Every date, name, quotation, and heading needs to appear exactly as in the source text, simply moved into fluent English.
Scope
• Produce a literal, chapter-by-chapter translation in MS Word or Google Docs, preserving paragraph breaks, headings, footnotes, and any emphasis the author used.
• Deliver an initial sample (one short chapter or 10 pages) so we can confirm tone and formatting before you proceed with the rest of the manuscript.
• Provide the full draft, then incorporate up to two rounds of minor revisions focused on factual consistency or wording that drifts from the original meaning.
• Supply a final, clean version plus a version with Track Changes for my records.
Support material
I will share the scanned or digital Hindi manuscript, any existing glossary of names, and style notes on transliteration for place names or historical terms.
Key expectations
• Native-level command of both Hindi and English.
• Proven experience translating non-fiction, ideally biographies.
• Respect for the author’s voice—no interpretive rewrites.
• Ability to flag unclear passages and ask for clarification instead of guessing.
