I'm seeking an experienced local fixer or guide in Kenya to support a documentary project on the impact of the climate crisis on indigenous communities, specifically Ogiek, Ndorobo, and Sengwer. The role involves navigating rural areas, coordinating with community leaders, providing translations (Swahili-English), and managing logistics to ensure safe and efficient travel.
Ideal candidate:
- Prior experience in similar environments, specifically with providing logistical support
- Deep understanding of the local context
- Exceptional communication and community engagement skills
Fluency in local languages, Networking with community leaders, and Cultural sensitivity are key to ensuring we collect genuine and impactful narratives.
