Online Mandarin Tutoring Needed
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m looking for a qualified Mandarin teacher to guide students through weekly online lessons. Current level is beginner, and goals cover both academic progress (reading, writing, correct tones, Hanyu Pinyin) and conversational confidence for everyday situations.
You’ll teach entirely in Mandarin where possible but switch to clear English explanations when grammar or cultural notes need unpacking. Students respond best to a blend of approaches, so please combine a textbook-based structure with lively, practical activities—screen-sharing stroke order drills, short role-plays, mini-quizzes, and real-life listening clips.
Here’s how I picture our collaboration:
• Three live session each week (about 60 minutes on Zoom, Skype, or similar).
• A concise lesson plan sent 24 hours before class, highlighting new vocabulary and objectives.
• Light homework and review notes after every lesson so I can track progress and arrive prepared for the next meeting.
• A brief progress check each month outlining strengths, gaps, and suggested adjustments.
If you hold recognised teaching credentials (TCSOL, CTCSOL, or equivalent) and have experience taking absolute beginners to confident speakers, I’d love to hear how you would tailor the first four weeks .
