Translate Children’s Stories to Chinese

Job ID: 40057853

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I have a set of lively adventure tales written in English for readers aged 8–12, and I want each one to feel just as funny, rhythmic, and heartfelt in Chinese as they do in the original language. Your task is to take the existing manuscripts and produce a smooth, age-appropriate Chinese version that keeps the humor, subtle life lessons, and page-turning flow completely intact.

You will be working directly from final English texts; no rewriting of the plots is needed—only a faithful yet imaginative translation that sounds as though it were first conceived in Chinese. Every chapter should come back to me polished, free of grammatical errors, and laid out so a designer can drop the copy straight into print or digital formats.

Deliverables
• Fully translated Chinese manuscript(s) in an editable file (Word or Google Docs)
• A brief translator’s note per story highlighting any wordplay or cultural tweaks made
• Final proofread pass to ensure consistency in tone, vocabulary, and readability

If you have experience localizing humor for children or have previously translated middle-grade fiction, let me know—samples are welcome.
