I have a completed LaTeX manuscript (originally prepared for IEEE Access), and I want to reformat and submit it to Elsevier's Journal of Information Security and Applications (JISA).
This is not just a formatting job — I need a full submission-ready package, including proofreading and Elsevier-compliant components.
Scope of Work:
Milestone 1 – LaTeX Reformatting for Elsevier (JISA):
- Convert manuscript to elsarticle.cls format
- Adjust tables (narrow/wide) and figure layouts for single-column JISA design
- Fix all captions, references, spacing, and formatting
- Ensure final .tex compiles without error
Milestone 2 – Full English Proofreading:
- Academic-style grammar, clarity, structure, and fluency
- Focus on abstract, introduction, methodology, discussion, conclusion
- Eliminate all passive/awkward or redundant language
Milestone 3 – Submission Package Preparation:
- Write a professional Cover Letter (for the editor)
- Create Highlights (3–5 bullet points, max 85 characters each)
- Add “Declarations” section (Funding, Competing Interests, etc.)
- Ensure all figures are in correct format (EPS/TIFF)
- Deliver ready-to-upload source files + PDF
I will share the current version of the manuscript as an Overleaf project (IEEE Access format). You will be expected to work on the conversion directly within Overleaf and deliver the final version as a complete, clean Overleaf project prepared for Elsevier's JISA.
The delivery will include:
- A working Overleaf project with the final LaTeX source code
- All required submission files (highlights, cover letter, declarations, etc.) either in Overleaf or uploaded separately as plain text
Please confirm in your proposal that you are comfortable working with Overleaf.
If you’ve previously formatted or submitted papers to Elsevier (especially JISA or other computer science journals), this will be a perfect fit.
