Kids Book Spanish-Brazilian Translation
Budget: €2 – €6 EUR
I have written an unillustrated children’s book of just over 50 pages aimed at readers aged 6–8. I now need the entire manuscript rendered fluently into Brazilian Portuguese so that it feels natural, engaging, and age-appropriate for young Brazilian readers.
What I’m looking for
• A native-level command of Portuguese (Brazil) and strong familiarity with the tone and vocabulary that resonate with 6–8-year-olds.
• Sensitivity to rhythm, repetition, and wordplay common in children’s literature—please preserve or creatively adapt these elements rather than translate word-for-word.
• Experience translating long-form texts for children; published samples or portfolio links are a plus.
Deliverables
1. Complete Portuguese-language manuscript in editable DOCX, mirroring the original pagination and chapter structure.
2. A brief translator’s note (1–2 pages) highlighting any cultural adaptations or rhyme solutions made during the process.
3. One revision round after I’ve reviewed the first draft.
I will supply the final English text in Word on project start.
