Creative Content Translation to Indonesian
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m commissioning nuanced translations of creative texts—short stories and poems—into natural, flowing Bahasa Indonesia. The originals come from various source languages, so you’ll be handling “Bahasa lain ke Bahasa Indonesia” material rather than straightforward English-Indonesian work. Because the pieces are literary, tone and imagery matter as much as literal meaning; I need someone who can preserve rhythm, metaphor, and emotional impact.
You’ll receive the source files in Word and return:
• a fully formatted Indonesian version that reads like an original
• a second copy containing brief translator notes on wordplay, cultural references, or lines whose sense required adaptation
CAT tools such as SDL Trados or memoQ are welcome for consistency, but every line must be human-edited—raw machine output won’t pass. I’ll review and accept each text once it feels authentic in Indonesian, free of awkward phrasing or grammatical slips.
First batch (three pieces, ±1,000 words each) is due within five days; we can set milestones for the rest. If you have samples of story or poetry translations, please share them so I can gauge style and sensitivity.
