Short Story Grammar Proofreading

Job ID: 40603123

Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR

I have a collection of short stories that are already complete in terms of plot and character arcs, but they still need a keen editorial eye to polish their grammar and punctuation. Your task is to read each piece closely, correct every mechanical error, and return a version that reads smoothly without altering the voice or tone I’ve established.

Here’s how I’d like us to work together:
• You receive the Word file, use Track Changes to mark every correction, and leave brief comments only when something might confuse a reader.
• When finished, send back two files—one with the markup visible and one clean copy.

While grammar and punctuation are the priority, I’m happy for you to flag the occasional sentence that feels awkward so I can revisit it. No structural rewrites are needed; just ensure the prose is technically flawless and consistent in style (straight quotes vs. curly quotes, em-dash spacing, dialogue punctuation, etc.).

I’m looking for someone who can turn around about 5,000 words within three days of receiving each batch. If you enjoy fine-tuning creative writing and can deliver meticulous, on-time edits, let’s get started.
