I have compiled a family history book and now need a keen editorial eye to polish it before layout and printing. The manuscript is already written in MS Word; the final page count is still being finalized, but it should sit comfortably within a typical mid-length book.

Your role is to run a thorough sweep for:
• Grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
• Consistency in names, dates, and place references
• Readability—smooth sentence flow and clear transitions without altering the personal storytelling voice

Deliverables
• One file with tracked changes and margin comments explaining any significant edits
• A clean, ready-to-print version
• A brief summary (one page or less) of style choices or recurring issues you spotted

I welcome additional suggestions on fact-checking or refining chapter structure if you spot something obvious, but the primary focus is solid, professional proofreading. Familiarity with genealogical terminology or prior work on memoirs or historical narratives is a bonus. Confidentiality is essential; I will provide a short NDA.
