I have a series of full-length novels in Portuguese that I now want to publish for a Spanish-speaking audience. I’m looking for a literary translator who can preserve the author’s voice, rhythm, and cultural nuance while producing a naturally flowing Spanish text. The project involves the complete manuscript of each novel, so experience with long-form fiction is essential and a genuine feel for narrative pacing and dialogue will make all the difference.
You will receive the Portuguese manuscripts in Word format and I’ll need the finished Spanish versions returned in the same layout, ready for final copy-editing. Consistency in terminology, character names, and stylistic choices across chapters is vital; if you prefer working with CAT tools such as Trados, MemoQ, or Wordfast to manage that, let me know. I’m happy to agree on a schedule of partial deliveries—perhaps by act or by every 20,000 words—so we can review tone and accuracy as we go.
