Poetry Grammar & Syntax Editor

Job ID: 40282849

Budget: £10 – £15 GBP

I have a small collection of early-stage poems that need a careful editorial pass. The imagery and ideas are already on the page; what I need from you is a fine-tuned polish of grammar, punctuation, and overall syntax so every line reads smoothly while my voice stays intact.

You will receive 20–30 poems, each roughly 15–30 lines, in Word or Google Docs format. Please work with tracked changes so I can follow every adjustment, then supply a clean copy once the edits are approved. No new writing is necessary—this project is strictly about elevating what’s already written.

Deliverables
• One marked-up file for each poem (tracked changes on)
• One clean final file for each poem with all edits accepted
• A brief editor’s note (1–2 sentences) per poem explaining any major structural or grammatical choices

Preferred tools: Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
Turnaround: ideally one week from the moment you receive the files, but let me know if you need a bit more time.

If you have a strong grasp of poetic rhythm and enjoy tightening language without diluting meaning, I’d love to see samples of your previous editing work and get started.
