Italian Cultural Localization Expert: "Architectural Heritage Conservation" Theme for Marketing
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
We are launching a specialized service and need an Italian translator who is also a cultural adapter. We are using the theme of "Traditional Architecture and Heritage Conservation" (Conservazione del Patrimonio Architettonico) as a central metaphor for our work. This isn't about buildings—it’s about preserving meaning, restoring clarity, and honoring original intent in communication.
We need a native Italian professional to research, adapt, and translate a small package of materials from English into Italian for a marketing campaign. Your job is to make the "architecture and conservation" theme resonate deeply with a modern Italian audience.
What You Will Do (Scope of Work):
Research & Cultural Alignment (30%):
Identify 2-3 key Italian examples of architectural heritage conservation that are meaningful to the public today (e.g., the restoration of the Colosseum, the revival of a historic borgo, the preservation of the Sassi di Matera).
Provide a short summary (in English) of why these resonate and the public discourse around them.
Translation & Transcreation (70%):
Translate & Localize a "Project Brief" PDF: Adapt a 2-page English PDF into Italian. You must translate technical conservation terms (like "restoration," "original fabric," "adaptive reuse") into culturally appropriate metaphors for careful, precise work. Final deliverable must be in Italian.
Write 2 Italian Email Subject Lines & Preheaders: Create compelling, theme-based subject lines to grab attention. Deliverables in Italian.
Transcreate 1 Short Marketing Paragraph: Adapt a core English paragraph that compares our service to architectural conservation, using one of your researched local examples as the new metaphor. Final deliverable in Italian.
Example Direction (in English for clarity):
Original English Metaphor: "Our process is like architectural restoration: we carefully clean the original text, reinforce its structure, and ensure its integrity shines for a modern audience."
Your Task: Adapt this into Italian using a reference like "il restauro di un affresco rinascimentale" (the restoration of a Renaissance fresco), where every layer of misunderstanding is delicately removed to reveal the original message.
Deliverables (Final work in Italian, summaries in English):
A short research note (1 page in English) with your chosen Italian architectural examples and reasoning.
A professionally translated/localized version of the "Project Brief" PDF in Italian.
2 email subject lines + preheaders, and 1 transcreated marketing paragraph (approx. 150 words) in Italian.
Required Skills & Profile:
Native speaker of Italian with flawless writing skills.
Professional proficiency in English (for understanding the brief and providing research notes).
A strong interest or background in Italian culture, history, architecture, or heritage is a major plus.
Ability to think conceptually and find creative cultural parallels.
Past experience in marketing translation or transcreation is preferred.
