An aspiring architect is preparing a design project for an international school competition, featuring earth-based apartment concepts (e.g., cave dwellings, mountain homes, underground structures) that integrate sustainable energy (wind/solar power) and traditional Chinese architectural elements. The project requires language support in Mandarin Chinese for research, cultural accuracy, and presentation refinement.

Responsibilities:
Language & Cultural Guidance:

Assist with Chinese architectural terminology (e.g., "窑洞" yaodong/cave dwellings, "四合院" siheyuan/courtyard homes).

Explain feng shui principles, traditional materials (e.g., rammed earth, timber framing), and historical influences relevant to underground/earth-sheltered designs.

Provide pinyin/translation support for bilingual presentation materials.

Design Concept Refinement:

Advise on culturally authentic aesthetics (e.g., integrating moon gates, lattice windows) into modern sustainable designs.

Help source Chinese-language references on eco-architecture (e.g., Hakkas’ tulou, ancient subterranean homes).

Presentation Coaching:

Polish Mandarin pronunciation for verbal pitches (if applicable).

Review slide decks or scripts for natural phrasing in Chinese.

Requirements:
Native or fluent Mandarin Chinese (with clear English communication).

Background in architecture, design, or cultural heritage (or strong personal interest).

Knowledge of sustainable building practices and/or traditional Chinese homes.

Experience tutoring, translating, or academic coaching (preferred).

Patient, creative, and able to simplify complex concepts.
