Chinese Business & Presentation "Slide Doctor"

Job ID: 39830823

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

您是那个在重要会议前精心修改PPT的人吗? (Are you the person who refines PowerPoint slides before a big meeting?). We need a sharp Chinese native to translate, proofread, and polish business documents for a professional Mandarin-speaking audience. This open project is perfect for business students, junior consultants, or anyone with an eye for clean, powerful communication in a Chinese business context.

You’ll work on:

Translating and culturally adapting PowerPoint/Google Slide presentations from English to Chinese.
Proofreading and localizing Chinese business reports, executive summaries, and one-pagers for clarity, impact, and proper business etiquette.
Shortening and sharpening marketing copy for emails, WeChat official accounts, and social media posts.
Ensuring business jargon and concepts are correctly adapted for the mainland China market (e.g., "leveraging synergies" -> "发挥协同效应", "streamlining workflows" -> "优化工作流程").
Responsibilities

Beyond Translation: Don't just translate—transcreate. Reformulate English content to be concise, professional, and persuasive for a Chinese business audience.
Master of Nuance: Correctly use formal honorifics (e.g., 贵公司 - "your esteemed company") and understand the difference in tone for a state-owned enterprise vs. a tech startup.
Formatting Guru: Check and correct document formatting to ensure they look polished and professional. This includes proper font usage, alignment, and layout adaptation for Chinese text.
Audience Tailoring: Adapt the tone for the specific audience, from formal reports for senior executives to more aspirational and motivational language for internal team presentations.
Ideal Candidate

Native Mandarin fluency with an impeccable grasp of contemporary business Chinese and professional phrasing.
Strong English reading comprehension, able to grasp subtle business concepts.
A keen eye for design and formatting—you notice when a slide is cluttered or visually unappealing.
Studying business, international trade, marketing, or with some office experience in a Chinese environment.
(Your ability to make complex English ideas sound simple and powerful in Chinese is your biggest asset! 正式经验并非必需,强大的技能才是关键 - Formal experience is not essential, strong skills are key!)
Deliverables

A polished, presentation-ready Chinese version of the original document (PPT, DOC, etc.), delivered via email or cloud storage.
