- Proofreading manuscripts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
- Providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improving manuscripts.
- Reading and evaluating submitted manuscripts to determine their suitability for publication.
- Assisting with administrative tasks, such as organizing files and maintaining databases.
- Collaborating with the editorial team to ensure the smooth flow of the publishing process.
Requirements:
- Strong command of the English language and excellent grammar skills.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for spotting errors.
- Passion for reading and a solid understanding of various literary genres.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with word processing software.
- Previous experience in proofreading or editing (preferred, but not required).
Compensation:
We currently offer a competitive hourly rate of $3 USD per hour.
