Copyediting my book
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am looking for a skilled copyeditor to help me improve the overall quality of my self-help book.
The ideal candidate should have experience in editing books of similar genre and length, with a focus on sentence structure and flow.
The project will require medium editing for issues that affect readability, including sentence structure, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
The book is about 142 pages long and 18K words. The successful freelancer must be a native English speaker.
This project requires:
- 1) You to quickly read the book to understand how much work it requiered to transform it into a professional text. I have attached 3 samples of the book in this text coving 60 pages for you have a clear idea of the amount of work and quote accordingly.
- 2) Once you are awarded the project, I will send you a full copy of the book a we will schedule a 30 minutes meeting to agree how we will work together. I expect mispellings to be corrected inmidiately, however redability and sentence stracture issues should be marked for review before being approved.
- 3) Once you finish step 2 we will require to go through all your suggested changes in a video call. This will require probably up to 4hr of your time, probably divided in 1 or 2 sessions.
- 4) Once step 3 is finished you will send back the manuscript to me for a final check and providing its all good, the project will be completed.
