Shared Resource Booking App
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
I wish to create a simple user interface PowerApp that will allow employees to request a shared resource to be booked.
The APP will function in 2 parts. Part one will be the user end which will be formatted for their smartphones and the second part will be a SharePoint calendar that can be accessed by the manager online or via his outlook client.
It needs to allow employees to:
• View list of available resource items loaded from a pre-existing SharePoint list (maintained by the yard manager).
• Make a booking request for a resource item. This includes:
o Picking the resource item
o Setting date and time of when to book out the resource (defaults to now)
o Picking the location where the resource item is required
• A drill down will allow a user to view all requests. This will include any additional metadata collected with the calendar item.
A calendar item will be added for each request. It will include the location, start / end date and participants including the requestor.
The calendar item will include the yard manager as the organizer. He can the shuffle the meeting within the calendar as appropriate (using built in functionality within SharePoint / Outlook). All parties will be notified about changes based on built-in MS Exchange functionality.
Assumptions
• The Inventory of resources will be a SharePoint list created and managed by the yard manager. This will be created prior to starting development
• Development will work within the constraints/limitation of MS PowerApp / Office365 functionality.
