Middleware for Zoho Books to Mauritius MRA E-Invoicing

Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced backend developer to build a middleware application that connects Zoho Books with the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) E-Invoicing System.

Zoho Books does not natively support MRA e-invoicing for the Global Edition, but it provides APIs and webhooks that can be used to build a custom integration.

The objective is to allow our client to continue using Zoho Books while automatically submitting invoices to MRA in real time and storing the MRA response back into Zoho Books.

Scope of Work

The middleware should:

* Receive invoice notifications from Zoho Books using Webhooks.
* Retrieve complete invoice information from Zoho Books API.
* Convert invoice data into the format required by the Mauritius MRA E-Invoicing API.
* Authenticate securely with the MRA API.
* Submit invoices in real time.
* Process the MRA response.
* Update Zoho Books with the returned reference number, status and any other required information.
* Log all requests and responses.
* Implement retry mechanisms for failed submissions.
* Provide clear error logging.
