Project Overview
A leading service contractor company in Kenya, seeks an experienced Zoho ERP Integration Specialist to implement a comprehensive Zoho One ecosystem. The project involves configuring and integrating 11 Zoho modules with external systems including KRA eTIMS and M-Pesa APIs, tailored for Kenya's regulatory environment.
Project Details
Duration: 2-4 weeks (0-1 months)
Work Model: Remote with occasional on-site visits to Nairobi
Modules: 11 Zoho modules + 3 custom Zoho Creator applications
Key Integrations: KRA eTIMS Type C, M-Pesa B2C API, Inter-module automation

Required Skills & Competencies
1. Core Zoho Expertise (MANDATORY)
• Zoho Books: Advanced configuration, chart of accounts, multi-currency, tax setup
• Zoho CRM: Custom modules, sales pipelines, workflow automation, deal management
• Zoho Projects: Project templates, resource allocation, budget tracking, milestone management
• Zoho FSM: Work order management, mobile app configuration, technician dispatch, offline mode
• Zoho Inventory: Multi-warehouse setup, serialization, stock transfers, project-based warehousing
• Zoho People: Org structure, attendance (geofencing), leave management, employee self-service
• Zoho Expense: Expense categories, approval workflows, project advances
• Zoho Creator: Custom application development (forms, workflows, reports)
• Zoho Flow: Complex workflow automation, inter-module integration, error handling
• Zoho Analytics: Dashboard creation, custom reports, data source integration
2. Tax & Regulatory Compliance (MANDATORY)
• KRA eTIMS Type C integration via VSCU API
• JSON payload construction for tax invoice submission
• VAT reconciliation and reporting (16% standard rate)
• Withholding tax configuration (VAT WHT, Professional Fees, etc.)
• Payroll statutory deductions: PAYE (tiered), SHA (2.75%), NSSF (Tier I & II), AHF (1.5%)
• Employment statutes compliance (attendance penalties, leave policies)
• Tax reporting requirements (P9 forms, monthly returns)
3. API Integration & Development
• RESTful API integration (authentication, error handling, retry logic)
• KRA eTIMS API: Digital certificate authentication, QR code processing
• M-Pesa Daraja API: B2C payments, OAuth 2.0, webhook callbacks
• Safaricom API integration for mobile money disbursements
• JSON/XML data formatting and parsing
• Webhook development and callback management
• API rate limiting and queue management
4. Technical Skills
• Deluge scripting (Zoho's scripting language) - Advanced level
• JavaScript for client-side customizations
• SQL for data queries and reporting
• Database design and data modeling

• Mobile app configuration (iOS/Android)

5. Industry & Domain Knowledge
• Telecommunications/Field Service industry experience preferred
• Project-based business operations and costing
• Field service management workflows (dispatch, execution, invoicing)
• Inventory management for serialized assets
• Casual labor management and payment processing
• Fleet and equipment maintenance tracking
• ERP implementation best practices
6. Project Management & Soft Skills
• Proven track record managing ERP implementations (minimum 3 similar projects)
• Excellent documentation skills (technical and user manuals)
• User training and change management experience
• Stakeholder management and communication
• Requirements gathering and business process analysis
• Issue resolution and troubleshooting
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Time management and adherence to project timelines
Mandatory Requirements
• Zoho Certified Consultant (or equivalent proven experience)
• Minimum 5 years Zoho implementation experience
• At least 2 completed full-scale Zoho One implementations
• Demonstrated experience with Kenya KRA eTIMS integration
• Portfolio of similar projects with verifiable references
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Available for full-time engagement for project duration
Highly Desirable (Bonus Qualifications)
• Based in East Africa (timezone compatibility)
• Previous work with Kenyan clients and understanding of local business practices
• Experience with Zoho Payroll (Kenya localization)
• M-Pesa API integration experience
• Service contractor industry experience
• Experience with offline-first mobile applications
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
• Multiple Zoho certifications (Books, CRM, Creator, etc.)
