Optical System Design (Required previous work for verification)

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m developing a laser-based system that operates in the infrared band (roughly 700 nm–1 mm) and need a compact optical path designed around a high-efficiency beam splitter. The goal is to deliver as much power as possible to two separate channels while keeping stray reflections and thermal load under control.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

• A complete optical layout showing all element positions, clear apertures and mounting angles, optimised specifically for laser transmission in the stated wavelength range.
• Coating specifications for the beam-splitting surface that maximise transmission/reflection ratios at the chosen IR wavelength.
• Optical performance data (throughput, wavefront error, expected spot size) generated in a recognised design package such as Zemax OpticStudio, Code V or equivalent.
• A brief tolerance analysis so I know which mechanical parameters are most critical.
• Manufacturing-ready drawings or STEP files for the splitter substrate if custom geometry is required.

I’ll provide my source laser parameters and mechanical envelope once we start; you return the design files, report and any recommended off-the-shelf part numbers. Deliverables will be deemed complete when the simulated performance meets or exceeds the power-splitting ratio we agree on and all drawings import cleanly into SolidWorks.
