Zapier-AWS Textract Sheet Automation
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a clean end-to-end Zapier workflow that starts the moment a client drops a file into Pipefile and ends with neatly structured data inside Google Sheets.
Workflow vision
• Source: Clients will upload W-2 forms, 1099s to Pipefile.
• Trigger: Zapier notices each new upload, copies the file to AWS Textract and waits for the analysis to finish.
• Extraction rules:
– W-2 and 1099: capture every standard amount and identifier that would normally be hand-keyed for tax prep.
• Output format: Each client has one Google Sheet. Inside that sheet, create a dedicated tab for every document type—“W-2”, “1099”, “1040”, etc.—and append a fresh row for every new document. Column headers must remain consistent so downstream formulas keep working.
• Reliability essentials: handle failed Textract jobs gracefully, log errors, and keep API keys secure.
Deliverables
1. Zapier Zaps fully configured and shared with me.
2. AWS Textract setup (roles, policies, and any Lambda glue code) checked into a private repo.
3. A sample Google Sheet showing the exact output layout.
4. Quick loom walkthrough so I can maintain the flow on my own.
Once everything is running, I’ll test with sample W-2, 1099, and 1040 PDFs and expect the correct figures to land in the proper tabs automatically.
