I’m building a workflow that extracts data from a PDF and enters it into Smart Sheets using Zapier. The goal is to enable a user to receive a PDF (an invoice), forward it to a specific zapier created email which will send the PDF to PDF.co for data parsing, the Zapier will import this data into a new smart sheets row
The setup must run fully in Zapier—no external servers—while gracefully handling common hiccups. If a step fails, I still need the row flagged in some way so I can fix issues quickly.
Once everything is live, I’ll verify it by emailing sample PDFs and confirming that the text shows up exactly where expected in Smartsheet without manual intervention.
