About the Project
I am a gaming content creator looking for a long-term video editor to transform my livestreams into engaging, retention-focused YouTube highlight videos.
The content is primarily:
Hollow Knight
Hollow Knight: Silksong
Indie Metroidvania games
Boss fights
Exploration
Funny moments
Clutch gameplay
Reactions and commentary
This is a long-term opportunity, as I currently have multiple livestreams ready for editing and will continue producing new content regularly.
What You Will Do
Convert a livestream (approximately 2 hrs) into an engaging YouTube highlight video of approximately 8–10 minutes.
Your job is not simply cutting footage.
You should:
Identify the most entertaining moments
Build a story/progression throughout the video
Keep pacing fast and engaging
Remove dead air and repetitive sections
Highlight funny reactions and important gameplay moments
Focus on viewer retention
Editing Style Required
The editing style should be similar to modern gaming creators.
Include:
Dynamic cuts
Zoom-ins and punch-ins
Sound effects when appropriate
Motion graphics when needed
Subtitles for important moments
Funny edits only when they fit naturally
Boss introductions
Progression tracking
Tension building before difficult fights
Cinematic moments where appropriate
The final video should feel entertaining even to viewers who have not watched the livestream.

For each livestream:
Main Video
Length: 8–10 minutes
Resolution: 1920×1080
Frame Rate: Same as source footage
Format: MP4 (H.264)
Bitrate: VBR 2 Pass, 20mbps-25mbps
Skills Required:
Experience editing gaming videos

Strong communication
