PROJECT: YouTube Video Editor — “Case Files” Faceless Video Series (Episode 1)
OVERVIEW
Looking for an editor to produce a 10-15 minute faceless YouTube video — a comedic/entertainment take on food safety topics, NOT a dry documentary. Think investigative format with a sarcastic, deadpan comedic voice, targeting ages 20-40. This is Episode 1 of an ongoing series — looking to establish a long-term working relationship if the first episode goes well.
DELIVERABLE
• One finished video, 10-15 minutes runtime
• Style: fast-paced, “case file” investigative aesthetic — think redacted-document graphics, stat card overlays, split-screen comparisons, timeline graphics
• Tone: cool/hip, younger-skewing, genuinely funny — deadpan sarcastic humor woven throughout, NOT a talking-head lecture or a dry monotone documentary. Real data delivered with personality and comedic timing, similar in spirit to channels like Half as Interesting or Johnny Harris but with more jokes.
• Full script (including comedic VO) and shot-by-shot timing already provided (see attached outline)
WHAT’S PROVIDED
• Complete word-for-word script with timestamps
• Full on-screen text/stat card copy (no placeholders — all copy is final)
• Complete B-roll/visual shot list broken down by section
• List of reusable brand assets needed (folder animation, stamps, lower-thirds, templates)
REUSABLE ASSETS NEEDED (built once, used every future episode)
• “Case file” folder open/close animation
• “STILL LEGAL IN THE US” stamp graphic
• Lower-third stat card template
• Split-screen comparison template (EU/US)
• Highlighter/circle-on-label effect
• End-screen / subscribe template
EDITING SOFTWARE
Open to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut — whichever you’re fastest and most polished in.
SCOPE OF WORK
• Edit raw B-roll/stock footage into final sequence per script
• Build and implement all stat cards / text overlays (copy provided)
• Build reusable graphic templates listed above
• Basic color grading (muted/serious tone for data sections, brighter/faster for lighter sections per script notes)
• Add music/sound design (open to editor’s recommendations — need a mix of tension-building and comedic/absurd cues per section)
• Deliver final export in [insert resolution/format, e.g., 1080p or 4K, MP4]
