Dual OpenSSL: Kirkstone & Legacy
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I'm currently working with Yocto Kirkstone and require a unique setup. My project involves integrating two versions of OpenSSL – the latest version 3.0.5 already present, and an additional version 1.1.1q. This setup will ensure compatibility with legacy applications that rely on the older OpenSSL iteration.
Here's what I need from a freelancer:
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Profound Yocto Project expertise
- Extensive experience with Raspberry Pi
- Knowledge of OpenSSL versions and compatibility
- Ability to create and modify Yocto recipes
TASKS TO COMPLETE:
- Create a Yocto recipe for Kirkstone that adds OpenSSL 1.1.1q
- Ensure both OpenSSL versions coexist without conflicts
- Validate that legacy applications work with OpenSSL 1.1.1q
- Provide documentation on how to integrate and maintain the setup
GOAL:
The aim is to preserve functionality with older systems while maintaining the benefits of newer OpenSSL improvements.
