XML database

I have an easy XML database with 4 to 5 tables, which I want to have combined into 1 CSV file.
The tables holds around 8 million records so it should be doable.
It is a pretty forward XML database, with a scheme and for someone with the knowledge is shouldn't take a lot of time.
If you could write a guide how you did it, step by step and add it with the file as result that would be great. The most important part is getting the for each xml table (which contains up to 2000 xml files) converted to a csv file
